Description: Ecofriendly Ganpati & Diya Without Clay Let's make eco-friendly Ganesha murti (Ganpati Bappa) without using any clay. Making murtis and Diyas using dough has been an age-old tradition in our country India. After the pooja, these are then immersed in water and the best part is that it doesn't pollute the environment instead it becomes the food for the fish. I used wheat flour in place of clay to make the dough and added salt and vinegar to keep it from growing mold. Once your murti is complete, you can paint or embellish it. I wanted to keep it organic so didn't use any chemical paint.
